So what's hot in blogland this fine Tuesday?
The following talented so and so's are doing the business for the clued in amoung you this week.
This is The Kills new single, it's the first release ahead of Blood Pressures which is out April 4th.
The Kills - Satellite by DominoRecordCo
Alexander Ebert is the singer with Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeroes but has gone alone for an album written, produced and recorded completely himself. Here are the first two tracks from Alexander, which is out on March 1st. Beautiful music.
Truth by AlexanderEbert
A Million Years by AlexanderEbert>
From Glasgow, Scotland comes a band called Jonny Reb. Vocally not far off British indie of the early to mid-2000's but musically it avoids the harsher guitar sounds of that era giving a warm, ambitious and uplifting sound. Definitely an artist for those cold winters days. The second track even has some lovely whistling. And I love whistling in a song.
Where Were Spring by Johnny Reb
A Year to the Shadows by Johnny Reb
Finally, from a band who released one of my favourite tracks of last year (oOoOoOoOoOo), Oberhofer, comes another straight up dirty pop song. The guitar tones are beautiful, there's whistling, there's a triangle, have a listen, you'll love it.
