John Lennon died 30 years ago today. It truly was monumental moment in modern history.
But I wasn't around in 1980. I grew to love The Beatles of course but as a 16 year old metaller I was affected much more by the murder of Dimebag Darrell Abbott of Pantera, shot on stage this day 6 years ago. I still count Vulgar Display Of Power as one of my favourite albums of all time. R.I.P all round then.
